A mentor in a local teen program changed the direction of my life, and I came back to the community that raised me to do the same for someone else. I work on concrete personal, academic, and relational goals, drawing on both a psychology degree and having lived it.

About James
Born and raised in Austin, Texas, I understand firsthand the importance of mentorship, community, and having someone believe in you. Growing up in affordable housing, I was fortunate to be guided by a dedicated mentor through a local teen program, an experience that profoundly shaped my life and inspired my path forward.
After earning my degree in Psychology, I returned to serve the same community that raised me, working in affordable housing to support and empower others on their journey. My professional background includes leading groups of adolescents in Residential Child Care (RTC) programs as well as working as a case manager, where I supported families in setting and achieving personal, academic, and relational goals.
Now, as a Life Coach, I draw from both my lived experience and professional training to help clients navigate life's challenges with confidence and purpose. My coaching approach is grounded in empathy, goal-setting, and practical strategies that foster growth.
